Renmo Partner Terms
Last updated 5 October 2026
These terms explain how Renmo Partners works for your business: how you take payments, what it costs, and how you get paid.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to businesses (“you”, the “Partner”) that use Renmo Partners to accept Renmo Voucher payments from customers. They form an agreement between you and Renmo Homes, located inside UJE Plaza, Adenta, Accra, Ghana (“Renmo”, “we”).
By creating an account or using Renmo Partners, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account and review
When you sign up, Renmo reviews your business before you can take payments. We may ask for your business registration number, contact details and other information needed to verify your business.
You must give us accurate information and keep it up to date. We may decline or pause an account that we can't verify.
You're responsible for everything done through your account, including by anyone you give access to.
3. Taking Renmo Voucher payments
You can charge a customer's Renmo Voucher from the dashboard, or from your own systems through the Renmo Partner API. The customer must approve every charge — either on their phone, or by reading you the 6-digit code we text them, which you enter in the dashboard.
Only enter a code the customer has given you for that specific charge. Never ask a customer for a code for any other purpose.
A charge is complete only once it is captured — that is, Renmo has confirmed the payment. You should not hand over goods or services before then. Charges that are approved but not yet captured are not payable to you.
You must only charge customers for genuine sales of goods or services you provide, at the price agreed with the customer.
4. Fees
Renmo charges a platform fee of 2.5% of each captured charge. The fee is deducted from the amount we pay you, and each settlement shows the sales, the fee and the amount payable.
We'll give you at least one month's notice before changing our fees.
5. Payouts
We pay what you're owed for captured charges, after the platform fee, weekly to the Mobile Money number or bank account you add in Settings.
When you add or change a payout destination, we look up the name registered on the account and ask you to confirm it before it's saved. We only pay into a destination that has been confirmed this way.
You're responsible for checking the account name and making sure your payout details are correct.
6. API keys and webhooks
If you use the Renmo Partner API, you must keep your secret API keys and webhook signing secrets confidential and on your own servers. Anyone with your secret key can create charges as your business.
If you think a key has been exposed, revoke it in the dashboard straight away and create a new one.
Test (sandbox) keys don't create real charges. Live keys only work once Renmo has activated your account.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Renmo Partners to:
- charge a customer without their knowledge or agreement;
- process payments for anyone other than your own business;
- sell goods or services that are illegal; or
- try to get around Renmo's security, limits or verification.
8. Suspension and closing your account
We may pause or close your account if we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or a breach of these terms, or if we're required to by law. Where we can, we'll tell you why.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll tell you about important changes in the dashboard or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Renmo Partners after a change means you accept the updated terms.
